Songkhla, Thailand — A ceremony was held to mark the official opening of the Bang Riang Community Research Center in Khuan Niang District, Songkhla Province. The event, held at the residence of Mr. Khomkhay Phetmunee, President of the Bang Klam Frog and Crab Farming Community Enterprise, and the home of Village Headman Thanin Kaeorat, Village No. 12, was attended by distinguished guests and community leaders.

Dr. Niwat Sawatkaew, Vice President for Student Development and Community Relations at Hatyai University, and Associate Professor Dr. Kan Chanpromma, Advisor to the President for Research, delivered the opening remarks, outlining the project’s objectives and its significance for local development.

In his address, Village Headman Thanin Kaeorat, who also serves as President of the Bang Riang Community Research Center, spoke about the collaborative framework for utilizing research to benefit the community. His remarks were followed by Assistant Professor Dr. Nukool Chinfuk, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, Hatyai University, who provided practical guidelines for the center’s operations and its role in fostering sustainable community growth.

This initiative is a collaborative effort aimed at leveraging academic research to address local challenges and enhance the quality of life in the Bang Riang community.
